    Gabrielle Fitzpatrick started off as a professional model. She auditioned for a modelling part in the film 'Via Monte Napoleone' while doing a photo shoot in Milan but was given an acting role.

    That lucky break has lead to roles in television shows like 'NYPD Blue', 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' and 'Paradise Beach'.

    Born Georgina Parker on 16 December 1964 in Sydney, NSW

    Georgie's shot to fame in the role of Lucy in 'A Country Practice', since she has appeared in such shows as Fire, A Long Way From Home, Over The Hill, Acropolis Now and then spent three years on theatrical productions. As a child Georgie battled scoliocis. When she was between 13 and 14 years old she had to wear a fibreglass brace day and night which she name 'Boris'. Georgie has always had big dreams for herself. She loved theatre and ballet and every christmas she got ballet books and books on British theatre. In high school Georgie signed with an agent and began getting jobs. Her first major role was playing Sister Mary Leo in the musical 'Nunsense' in 1988.

    Gia Carides has been working as an actress since age 12 in film and in theatre.She has been nomminated twice for her work, in Strictly Ballroom (1992) (Best Actress in a Supporting Role AFI Awards) and Brilliant Lies (1996) (Best Actress in a Leading Role AFI Awards).She has appeared in as many American films as Australian films, and continues to work in both countries.

  9. Greta Scacchi

    Born Greta Gracco on February 18 1960 in Milan, Italy.

    Her mother is an English dancer and her father an Italian painter. She grew up in Milan and later moves to London. In 1975 her parents moved to Australia, and Greta worked as a cowgirl and an Italian interpreter. At age 18 she returned to London and followed lessons at the Old-Vic-Theatre. Played small parts as stage actress and worked as a model for commercials. The young film maker Dominik Graf discovered her and her first film part is Zweite Gesicht, Das (1982). Being a perfectionist she learned German for this movie. After Heat and Dust (1982), she played parts for Australian and English television and returned to London. While playing in a modernised play by Anton Tsjechov in 1988, (directed by Margarethe von Trotta), she was discovered by Hollywood.

    Turned down the Sharon Stone role in Basic Instinct.

    In 1998 gave birth to a child with her cousin Carlo Mantegazza.

    Genevieve Picot is the startling red-head who plays Dr. Julia McAlpine. Little information is known on Genevieve; but she is a well-known actress in her native country of Australia. In 1998 she took part in a WIFT (Women In Film & Television) seminar entitled "A Career of Her Own - Work and Family." She is also very active in the Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance of Australia. She has appeared in many movies, as well as stage plays. Among her most famous are: The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll (1995), A Flea In Her Ear (circa 1993), Proof (1991), Arcadia (circa 1992). She is also appearing in the 1997 Australian movie, True Love and Chaos.
